  • Scott Frier has been involved in photography for more than 35 years. His assignments have taken him to over 70 countries and every state in the United States. He has taught in public schools and colleges. As chief expedition photographers for The Cousteau Society, Scott accompanied Jacques and Jean -Michel Cousteau on expeditions to the Gulf of Labrador, the South Pacific, the Great Lakes, the Caribbean, and the Amazon. Scott recently took early retirement from NIkon, Inc. where for more than 25 years, he worked as a technical specialist in digital imaging, wildlife and underwater photography. In this capacity he wrote and lectured on digital photography as well photographing his favorite subjects of wildlife and nature. His images have appeared in numerous magazines and books in the U.S., France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Japan and Brazil.
  • paula-photoPaula Frier first discovered photography while working for Covenant House. Working in the slums of Panama and Guatemala she spent much of her spare time photographing the local people. Upon returning to the United States she trained in photography and got her first job in the field working in the darkroom of the New York Times. When the Times converted to digital photography she moved to the photo editorial desk. After seven years at the Times Paula married Scott and moved to Los Angeles. She spent the next 10 years working on the photo editorial desk of the Los Angeles Bureau of the Associated Press.
  • bsmith1Bob Smith creates fine wildlife portraits, environmental, and landscape images in the western United States. Bob's images have appeared in publications including the National Geographic, Nikon product catalog, Evergreen Living, Nature Photographer, the Conservation Society, and numerous other publications

    Bob works as an instructor for a number of workshops each year, including Photography at the Summit, Rocky Mountan Photo Adventures, and Lindblad Expeditions. He has written articles on digital workflow and archive systems for professional digital photographers.
